We are so proud to announce that our very own WSA Premier Member Dr. Rania Azmi was listed in the March-April 2013 Edition of Asset International aiCIO’s 40 under 40.

BIO: Dr. Azmi was working for her father’s family office but also teaching at her alma mater, the University of Alexandria, after coming top of her class in business administration with a specialism in finance. She also worked in university development projects in collaboration with the European Commission and in organisations including the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group, which certified her to train SMEs on finance and investment, and the UNIDO. From here she followed in the footsteps of Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair in the IV Leadership Program, which took her all over the world. She now advises one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds and lectures in a number of international universities. When not advising on investment, Dr. Azmi is a keen activist for women’s position in business, politics, and society, where she spoke for the World Bank on gender and economics; soon after awarded the Google Prize for “Most Interesting and Creative Work”. Rania is creating a model to optimize the gender equality in society for the UN’s MDGs that will be renewed in 2015.

WHY WSA? WSA is essential in many aspects to women around the world who would like to keep enthusiastic about their dreams and better yet to watch them come true day after day. It is great to be among like minded people and its even better to be in a place where you get appreciated and respected because of who you are, regardless of your region, religion, color of your skin, etc. This is the WSA in my mind.
